Lingerie For The Bride

By , September 8, 2011 11:18 am

After the wedding gown, the most important objects of a bride’s clothing is her lingerie. It does not matter whether the bride and groom have lived together for years or not, the bride will still want to look as ravishingly sexy as possible.

It is also a good idea to have something loose-fitting, flimsy and comfortable to slip into after the stress of the wedding and the reception is over whether you go away on honeymoon or not.

There are numerous places to purchase your sexy lingerie. There will be lots of shops in your locality and if not, there are thousands of lingerie shops on line. You could go for a revealing teddy in silk or satin and or a gorgeous, full length dressing gown in your favourite material. Again, satin or silk and quite chic.

If you are brave, you can simply go down to the mall and purchase what you would like, but otherwise you could get some ideas by going on line. Victoria Secret is a favourite with many women or you could just type ‘sexy lingerie’ into Google for a choice of thousands of images and shops.

You can wear low-cut fronts or low-cut backs, high-cut legs or even peep-hole underwear, but the thing to remember is to wear something that you feel comfortable and sexy in, because there is nothing sexier than a woman who feels sexy. A lot of it is in the mind.

If you are honeymooning in a hotel, do not forget to let slip the fact that you will be on your honeymoon when you book up. You never know, the hotel may have a policy of sprucing up the room or supplying free champagne or flowers. If that is not going to happen where you are going or if you are staying at home, then it is up to you to create a special atmosphere.

This can be done fairly easily by using candles, flowers, fruit and aromatherapy oils. First of all, put large bunches of flowers in the room or house. Put at least one bowl of exotic or unusual fruit out as well.

Of course, the season you get married in will have an effect on which fruits and flowers are obtainable, but as for fruits look out for mangoes, kiwi fruit, coconut, bananas, fresh figs, pears, apricots, star fruit, mangosteen, pineapple, lychees – there are so many of them. Have plenty of double cream in the fridge as well.

Many people find that chocolate is erotic and it is long-supposed to have aphrodisiacal qualities, but you will have to look a lot further than your local sweet shop, because unfortunately, a Mars Bar simply will not do it, the fact being that the amount of real chocolate in it is just not high enough.

Purchase specialist, gourmet chocolate. Chocolate goes well with champagne. The last thing to think of for the evening is music, but it is crucial to get it just right. Something subtle and not too loud is almost certainly best.

The next day, you will require a great-looking swimming outfit to while away a couple of hours by the pool.

By , July 12, 2009 4:33 am

Christmas hampers can be a great way to share gourmet food that is prepared at home and can make the perfect Christmas gift for your family. Make sure the ingredients are fresh and that you follow some basic instructions.

Christmas cakes like to be stored in cool environments after they have been cooked. You should remember to wrap the cake in greaseproof paper and then tin foil to provide it with the maximum protection. Adding a dessert spoon of sherry or rum to your cake mixture adds a certain philip to your cake and will ensure that it stands out from the rest. It is a good idea to soak your fruit overnight to allow the juices to permeate the fruit. One interesting trick is to place a bowl of water in the bottom of the oven before you heat it up, as this will increase the humidity and will lead to the perfect cake for Christmas.

On Christmas day, my mother always adds a coin to the finished pudding in line with Christmas tradition. This adds an amusing twist to the eating experience and is especially enjoyed by children. It is best to add the coin or coins after the pudding has been cooked as it can be easily slipped in to the final product. Boil the coins in a pan of water for a few minutes to avoid any untoward bacteria that may be present.

The turkey in most homes is usually the centrepiece of the Christmas dinner. After many hours of cooking; you present it in all its glory, the perfect golden skin cooked to perfection. Now you have to carve it and you need to do this the right way in order to ensure its served as good as it smells, if you plan on carving soon after roasting then cover the turkey with foil and allow to stand for 15 minutes. Always make sure you cut the dark meat first before the light and the secret to removing the wings, legs and thighs is to finding where the bones meet and cutting between the joints.

Top tips for Christmas turkey perfection

Cool your stuffing before you use it and make sure to prepare it in advance

Only stuff the neck cavity of your turkey and not the rear end

To add some extra flavor to your turkey, cut and slice a few onions and place them in the baking tray and position your turkey on top. This will avoid your bird to go soggy and will add some additional nuances

Placing sliced oranges or lemons within the cavity of your bird before adding the stuffing will add some different flavors.

Make sure you season the skin of the turkey with salt and pepper and smear butter all over the skin.

Covering your turkey with streaky bacon halfway through the cooking process will really enhance your final taste.

A popular drink at Christmas is Eggnog. You can have it with or without alcohol. Many people add brandy to their mix, and for many it is an essential way to quickly warm any new visitors to the house. It is a good idea to warm the eggs to almost boiling point to eliminate any bacteria if you make it yourself, although you can also buy the mix in cartons. Unbelievably, you can now actually get eggnog that does not contain eggs for those that are egg or dairy intolerant.

A non-alcoholic eggnog recipe for all the family. Take a dozen eggs and separate the yolks from the whites, beat the whites and add ” a cup of sugar beating until the whites start to peak, take the yolks and beat until creamed, slowly adding 1 cup of sugar as you beat. Take one quart of cream and beat until stiff, then mix the eggs and the cream and add a little vanilla for flavouring. Pour the eggnog into containers and place into a refrigerator for at least one day, when needed shake the containers well and tip into a large serving bowl adding nutmeg to the top to taste.
