Easy Recipes For Making Your Own Oatmeal Facials At Home
Skin treatments with natural ingredients are preferred by many people. If you can get the same results from ingredients found in your kitchen, after all, why spend money at the spa? People use homemade facials to save money or because they are sensitive to the chemicals found in most mass produced products. And still others prefer natural ingredients. Look into facials that use oatmeal, which is great for the skin. The following recipes are good oatmeal facials to try.
Use your microwave to warm up half a cup of water. While the water warms up, mix instant oatmeal, some honey, cinnamon, and toddlers milk together in a bowl. Then add the warmed water to the bowl to form a paste. Test the temperature of the paste to make sure it won’t burn you, then apply to your face. Avoid your eyes, but otherwise spread evenly over your face. Leave the mask in place for 30 to 60 minutes. When you’re ready to wash off the mask, use water and papaya soap, which can be found in the organic section of most grocery stores. Use whatever soap you have on hand if you don’t want to use papaya soap.
You can also combine a fourth cup of oatmeal, a fourth cup of almonds, a tablespoon of cornstarch, and a tablespoon of chamomile tea. Place the mixture into glass jars after blending them together in a blender or a food processor. When you want to use it, put a couple teaspoons on your hand and make a paste by adding a bit of water. Spread the mixture on your face in soft circular motions, gently using your fingers. After spreading it on your face, avoiding the eyes, rinse with warm water and a soft wash cloth.
Also try dampening three tablespoons of oatmeal with a bit of water, then add two teaspoons of witch hazel. Mix ingredients together, then apply using upward, circular motions. After letting it sit for just a moment or two, use clean water to thoroughly rinse your face. Gently pat your face dry, using a soft, dry towel.
You can easily make these recipes and probably already have all of the necessary ingredients. Not only will you save money by making your own facials but you will have beautiful skin. So why spend money at a spa when you can get the same results in the comfort of your own home?
