Bachelorette Party Favors – The Key Gifts For A Bachelorette

By , June 10, 2011 5:46 am

The common misconception is that bachelor’s parties are far more fun than bachelorette parties. To the contrary! Bachelorette functions can be just as wild and just as crazy. Just like any other type of party, there can be some uninteresting ones, but in order to steer clear of that, it is essential to make things festive. After all, the guest of honor is enjoying her last night of being able to order everyone around; following the celebration, she’ll only have her husband to fill up that role. The right bachelorette party items are a must, and making sure that you obtain the right ones is particularly crucial.

Now, “naughty” bachelorette events usually have some kind of phallic-shaped items around. Party favors, caps, straws, discs, etc. No matter what you can think of, chances are there just might be something phallic-shaped on it. It’s funny, isn’t it? Bachelorette party gifts for a “naughty” party might go right along with the motif and be sexy or sensual in nature. Gifts like therapeutic massage oils, sexy activities, even vibrators-it’s all fair game at a naughty party. Gifts that mix right in with the design go over well with everyone in attendance, and it makes for really entertaining night.

“Nice” bachelorette parties aren’t as outwardly sexy as the naughty ones, intending to focus on reasonably clean fun. These parties work for the shy bride to be or ones who aren’t comfortable with the more mature topic matter at a freakish party. Bachelorette party gifts for a “nice” party would be slightly tamer than “naughty” gifts, but they can still be exciting.

Thoughtful presents don’t always have to be extremely suggestive. Just think of what the guest of honor would like the most, and go for it. Party gifts don’t have to be difficult or expensive in order to be treasured!

Many bachelorette parties are a combination of both “naughty” and “nice.” There may be plenty of wholesome yet girly things to do, but there could also be phallic-shaped sweets and a guy stripper frolicking about. For the next bachelorette celebration you go to, make sure you purchase a couple of bachelorette party gifts for the fortunate lady. If you know her well enough, you should already have an idea of what she might like. Therefore, it should be relatively simple to buy a present for her. If you’d like, you may buy her the craziest, naughtiest gift you can think of too. Either way, she’ll appreciate the gifts!

Tailgate Parties To Remember

By , October 18, 2010 9:17 pm

Tailgate parties are exciting outdoor activities. Given the right amount of creativity, these can be unforgettable. You can give guests a sneak peek of the fun to come with the invitations. Use some brown paper in the shapes of footballs for the invites.

The party theme should be related to the guest of honor. If the person loves to watch football, you may want to have some things pertaining to their favorite team. A football or a jersey can be used in relays. Make snacks in the shapes of helmets and footballs.

You can also make the cake look like a green field. Maybe some of the girls in the party could also perform a simple cheering squad routine, with made-up pompoms, screams and some cheers.

Try to keep the games related to the theme. A good game might be trying to toss the football into a bin. 6 to 7 year-olds can do simple exercises as well. You can get them to do basic moves and races. For older children, avoiding obstacles might be more fun. You can create different groups, and make cheers for each group.

After the big game, a football cake could do the trick. If you aren’t a great cook, you can make muffins with football candies on top.

A human pyramid may be another fun game. Look for a grassy area or lay a soft mat on the floor. Ask the girls to make good pyramid formation. A tailgate party can be memorable if done right. Enjoy the fun!

Back Yard Summer BBQs

By , January 19, 2010 7:07 pm

Summer is the perfect time of year to get the backyard BBQ season started. Many people wait all year long just for the chance to grill their favorite foods over an open flame and gather family and friends together to enjoy great food and the wonderful, sunny weather. With just a few helpful tips, you can turn your next backyard BBQ into the event of the year.

On the more practical side of things, one thing that must be considered is pest control. Nothing can make an outdoor event more miserable than invasion of ants, mosquitoes or any other unwelcome creatures. Use plastic containers with lids or some form of covering to keep ants away. A good defense against moquitoes is to light a few citronella candles or torches and place them strategically throughout the backyard; this really will help keep them away and prevent your guests from unpleasant bites.

In terms of menu planning, consider first which beverage options you will be offering to your guests. Although the grill might be getting all the attention during the BBQ, having a nice assortment of beverages available will keep your guests happy, especially on those really hot summer days.

If you are expecting wine drinkers, Pinot Grigio and Merlot are two good choices that will likely please most palates. In addition, you may want to offer a few beer selections and maybe even a mixed drink such as margaritas or daiquiris. Using seasonal summer fruits in a drink recipe is always a crowd-pleaser and will make your event that much more festive. Don’t forget to have plenty of non-alcoholic options such as soda or iced tea, and be sure to have diet or sugar-free options on hand as well.

In terms of the main course, keep the grilling items simple; hamburgers, hot dogs and marinated chicken are always a hit. For a more upscale menu, you can add steak or even salmon fillets. Another popular grilling choice is kabobs, which you can make with a variety of ingredients including beef, chicken, lamb, shrimp and a wide variety of vegetables.

As your guests begin to arrive and settle in, make sure to have plenty of snacks available for munching and accompanying that first round of drinks. These in no way need to be anything fancy, in fact a few bowls of chips or pretzels and maybe even a fresh vegetable tray with dip will do the trick. Another BBQ favorite that you might want to consider adding to the spread is sliced watermelon. There is nothing that says summer more than a big juicy bite of perfectly ripe watermelon.

Nothing accompanies a BBQ better than all the delicious traditional side dishes such as coleslaw, potato and macaroni salad and baked beans. Whether you decide to buy them pre-made or make them from scratch, these dishes are a must-have for any successful backyard BBQ.

With a little bit of planning and preparation, you can be sure that your backyard BBQ will be the event of the season. Make the most out of the summer and get started planning your own gathering today.
