Introductory Info About Southern Asian Motorcycle Driving Wear

By , December 26, 2011 11:18 am

Safety of a motorcycle rider is very important and this should be kept in mind while selecting riding clothes. You will get an array of riding clothes now in material, style or weight. You will find Indian Motorcycle jackets in leather both safe and trendy.

The initial thing that you should go for is the helmet to protect your head. Once that is done you must turn your attention to the other vulnerable parts of the body like knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows, knuckles etc. as these have a thinner skin covering over them. If you get injured in these areas it may take long time to heal so protection is required for these parts as well.

You should also think of scenarios in which you might crash and slide along the road, and choose garments that will stay put if you were to get into one of those sliding situations. That means that you should choose a jacket where cuffs are securely fastened. Adjustable fasteners around the midriff will keep your jacket down instead of sliding up your torso.

Also consider road heat. If an article of clothing can only take a cool iron it will melt on a hot road surface, and if it’s next to your skin, it will melt into your flesh. Sure, a jacket can be a pain if you live in a warm climate, but you’ve probably heard the saying “It’s better to sweat than to bleed.”

If you want a stylish jacket you should go for an Indian Motorcycle jacket even if you are not riding in it. They are thick leather jacket with quilted lining and stretch elbow pads. You will get them in stone wash buffalo leather in a close fit to your body.

The sleeves themselves are zippered, making it easy to tighten or loosen the cuffs. And all hardware is Indian Motorcycle branded. And it has two outer front zip pockets, a zipped chest pocket, and an inside pocket.

The rich brown colored jacket is very elegant with a diagonal front two way zipper adding a touch of extra class. The back is fitted out with a patch of quilted material to make it look even more chic.

The Indian jacket is not only useful for riding but it makes a fashion statement so it will always remain popular and people will want to wear it whether riding or not. Especially in certain climate this jacket will help you to keep warm throughout the winter.

There are certain considerations when you purchase riding clothing. The first significant thing to consider is its capacity to protect you. Next is the style and durability. When you buy an Indian motorcycle jacket you can find all three in large quantity in it and you can find it on the Zappos.com.

The iShares MSCI Japan Index

By , May 17, 2011 3:45 am

We’re talking about Japan and Germany, respectively, the world’s second- and third-largest economies. The top lines at leading German industrial companies are rolling in with impressive numbers for an almost zero-growth economy. With the euro down nearly 15% this year and at a two-year low against the U.S. dollar, the world’s largest exporting nation is worth a good look. So is another country that has thriving exports in spite of a stronger currency.

Quarterly sales at Siemens rose 13%, the fastest since 2003. BMW’s sales rose by 11% in the third quarter, although high raw-material costs and pricing pressure resulted in weak net profits. A bright spot is Asia, where BMW expects to sell 150,000 cars per year by 2008. Overall, German exports are up for the third-straight month and sales to countries outside of the European Union rose 18% annually from a year earlier.

Clearly, the Germans are good at making stuff and selling it to the world, and the weaker euro is helping spur growth. Germany’s DAX stock index is taking notice and is up nearly 20% year-to-date. Meanwhile, U.S. exports are up a paltry 2% since 2000. Although exports to China are up 35% during this same period, Americans are now buying seven times more from China than we are selling to them. A good reason why is that, according to research by Morgan Stanley’s Stephen Roach, consumer spending represents 71% of America’s gross domestic product. The figure is 42% for China and 55% for Japan.

Fifty percent of its exports to China in 2004 were electrical equipment and machinery, and its top exports to the world include autos, electronic components, optical instruments, imaging equipment and computer parts. Much is made over China’s huge trade imbalance with America, which reached $126 billion in the first eight months of this year. A majority of Japan’s exports are manufactured goods and components.

Similarly in Germany, the iShares MSCI Germany Index is loaded with that country’s top exporters and would be an excellent proxy for overall German export growth. Canon, Sharp, Hitachi, NEC and Toyota are all good plays on Japan’s manufacturing edge, while Sony will continue to lag until it boosts its R&D and catches up in product development. The iShares MSCI Japan Index exchange-trade fund is an attractive option, since it has about 50% exposure to Japan’s manufacturing sector with an annual expense ratio of only 0.59%.

Ford European Car Of The Year With A…

By , November 10, 2009 9:29 am

While the now profitable Ford Motor Company has been in the spotlight regarding the sale of the brands that the comprise Premiere Auto Group, its European division will have something new to show come this September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Ford only major mainstream manufacturer in Europe to not offer a compact sport utility vehicle (or a sport utility vehicle whatsoever) since it withdrew the Maverick (Escape) from the market during the early part of the decade. The car that will be shown at Frankfurt is a refined version of the iosis X concept that was displayed at last year’s Paris auto show, and should fill in this much-needed gap nicely.

Kuga (pronounced: koo-gah) sounds like a play on the Mercury two-door coupe (Cougar), but it’s got nothing in common with the big American cat (the final generation of which was also sold in Europe under the blue-oval badge). The edgy, ‘Kinetic Design’ styling of the Kuga blends many of the traits of new European-market Ford products, such as the curved and sporting roof line of the S-Max people carrier, the wheels of the high-performance Focus ST220, and the detailed headlamps and upturned grille of the freshly launched Mondeo midsized sedan, but sports bulging fenders and beefier lower cladding to give it a stronger, more durable look. Ford’s aim is to give the typical compact crossover a sportier look, something that only Mazda has successfully done with its CX-7.

Ford’s Designer for Exteriors, Stefan Lamm said, ‘Kuga is adventurous and distinctive, and we wanted to highlight this in our first official image . . . We believe that there is a role for a more athletic and charismatic vehicle that marks a departure from the norm, in the same way that the award-winning Ford S-Max carved out new territory for an MPV.’

While the official details about its platform and powertrain have yet to be announced, the Kuga will ride on the compact C1 platform that is shared with the European Ford Focus, Mazda3, and Mazda compact range. While the production engines are expected to include a series of economical four-cylinder and diesel engines, the Kuga is actually rumoured to be the first product developed by Ford of Europe to feature a gasoline-electric hybrid system. Ford will build the Kuga at its Saarlouis plant in Germany, with production expected to begin next spring. That’s about the same time that Volkswagen’s compact ute, the Tiguan, will hit the assembly line a few thousand kilometres away in Portugal.

Like most of Ford of Europe’s products, it’s pretty much set in stone that we won’t be getting the Kuga, though it’s been rumoured that Ford’s CEO Alan Mulally and his product development boss, Derek Kuzak want it and the Ford C-Max concept crossover for our market. Wouldn’t it be great if this little soft roader / compact crossover ended up on our shores as the replacement to the Escape?
