Skin lightening cream has traditionally been used by people who have certain skin ailments and conditions such as liver and sun spots, freckles, sun damage, acne marks, pigmentation issues and general skin problems. However in recent times they have been used by people with darker skin who wish to lighten their skin. As we live in a multicultural society, those darker skinned people increasingly choose to lighten their skin.

In the first variants of formulas of skin lightening creams a form of bleaching was used to try and rectify these skin ailments with the most notorious ingredient known as Hydroquinone. Hydroquinone is a skin bleaching agent that can often cause mild to severe side effects such as redness, skin irritation, and extreme sensitivity to the sun amongst users. It is still permitted in the US, although it’s use is banned in Europe and Asia.

I do not recommend using a skin lightening cream which has hydroquinone as an active ingredient, and if you do insist on using a product which contains this substance, you need to be careful that it does not contain more than two percent of hydroquinone. Studies have shown that excessive amounts of this substance in your skin lightening cream over a period of time can lead to thicker skin, as well as to blood-related disorders, and possibly cancer.

An additional recommendation we have is that when researching different types of skin lightening cream, do not buy a product which contains artificial fragrances or other smells or flavours. Whilst it may be aesthetically pleasant to have your skin smelling like roses, these fragrances may be potentially toxic and carcinogenic in their chemical make up.

Understanding the huge demand of such products has led many big beauty companies to develop their range of skin lightening creams, and these are made primarily with natural, environmentally friendly ingredients.

It is amazing to me how there are so many different fragrances on the market today with there own distinct aroma. Each fragrance has its own appeal to the consumer that buys it whether it is a richer scent or a more modest scent with a sweet aroma.

Trends come and go in the world of fashion, and its sometimes hard to know what things have left or when theyll be back. Cheetah print has been a borderline fashion statement for a long time, absolutely loved by some and hated by others; but its growing in popularity, and moving into center stage. Added here or there, cheetah print promises to give spice to any look, but be careful ” add too much and your eyes wont be able to handle it!

One of the main things about the cheetah print is that it makes a bold and glaring statement. If overused, it borders on distasteful, but that shouldnt stop you from incorporating it into your wardrobe, accessories, or even home. Here are some basic suggestions if youre not too sure what to do with the cheetah print:

- Dont mix it with other animal print clothing, and be weary of having several prints in a room. Unless youre trying to give off a zoo vibe, youre better off keeping the animal print at a minimum.

- Newer cheetah prints come in different colors, and each color says a different thing. A bright pink is feminine and fun, a green is energetic, and the classic yellow or orange is (relatively) more toned down. The same as above goes for different colored-prints: dont mix them!

Traction alopecia – caused by severe hairstyles, such as ponytails that are too tight, braiding, cornrows or the frequent use of extensions. These procedures pull at hair over a period of time but loss can be prevented if recognized and treated early.

You can minimize or even stop hair thinning or loss, if you identify the symptoms early enough, by using a variety of pharmacy or store treatments such as: a). A weekly use, leave-in scalp treatment made with essential oils – oils such as lavender and orange will relax and unblock hair follicles to promote growth, regulate oil production and maintain cell repair. b). Daily vitamin supplement – look for ones labelled especially for hair and/or nails and are fortified with Vitamin B3 (niacin), this protects the hair shaft, and antioxidants, to ward off damage from free radicals. c). Use a hair shampoo that has “energizing/revitalizing/fortifying/” on the label. This type of hair shampoo will feed and protect your existing hair whilst eliminating oils that can block the follicles and prevent re-growth. Allow approximately 6-8 weeks before expecting to see any firm results. Like any treatment, results can vary and may to need to be used on a prolonged basis.

Techniques to hide hair loss: Perhaps it is time to think of some techniques to hide your hair loss if you are unhappy with your thinning hair. Whether you are a man or a woman losing hair due to heredity, stress, medication or a medical condition you can use these tips to help you cope. Use a Hair Thickening Shampoo or Conditioner Use a hair thickening shampoo and/or conditioner meant to disguise loss by making the hair appear to be thicker. Brush your hair gently after shampooing and conditioning to stop losing more hair, and allow hair to dry completely before combing or brushing it.

Styling Techniques If your hair is not as thick as it once was, there are a number of hair styling methods and hair styling products that can be employed to keep your hair looking its best at any age.
