A guitar is never just a guitar. You have solid guitars, semi hollow guitars and full hollow guitars. You have guitars that are really well made, and you have the cheap ones that sound okay, but never cut it when it comes to real music. It’s not often you find a guitar that has a stand out finish, while be a great guitar to play. I have a German made Gretsch which I thought was the best that my money could by, then a long comes a friend with an Ibanez, and that guitar was just awesome – and he paid almost half what I paid for my Gretsch.
I am now looking for an Ibanez of my own. I have checked out several, however, the reviews on the ibanez afs80t are brilliant, and for the money, looks to be a standout selection – my selection now.
My fathers getting on in years, well past retirement, yet he still leads an active outdoor life that includes camping and fishing. Finding a good gift can be difficult – sure, I can get him a new sleeping bag or fishing rod, but he’s a creature of habit, he’d still go back to his old bag or rod, especially the rod, he’s had it for 20 odd years. What would make a great gift is one of those Luminox navy seal watches.
While camping and fishing is his number one hobby, he’s also got a fascination with watches. He must have fifty of them, none of which really work well – he just buys them, wears them till they die, then adds them to his collection. If you really want a fun filled hobby then let me recommend buying an ATV. You can go almost anywhere with them, they take to hills like they were mere bumps in the terrain, and they corner like nothing else. When they do wipeout, it can be spectacular to watch. It can also be a little expensive for the ATV owner.
Most of the time, a wipeout is a simple roll over. Add a hand stand with double flip in mid air and it’s becoming interesting. Most wipeouts occur on downhill runs where the beds are tight – people forget to slow down a little, or they just hit the brakes a little too late. Still, they look great to the observer.
When it comes to repairs after a wipeout, the two most common components are the chassis and the ATV Wheels. You can continue to drive the ATV if the chassis has a few bumps and bruises, but if you bust a wheel or axle, you’re out of business until you find a replacement.
I used to me a medium level smoker but I would classify myself as a very light smoker. I used to smoke around 20 cigarettes a day – now, I don’t smoke any. I tried a pipe for a while and while I enjoy a good pipe, I found the process to be fairly messy. I now I just enjoy the occasional cigar, but only the good quality ones.
Black and Mild cigars are a favorite of mine, and one of them at the end of each day is a great way to unwind. I have often wondered if smoking one of them each day is the same as smoking 20 cigarettes a day. To me, smoking cigars is a but better approach – you actually sit back an enjoy the experience, rather than smoking for that nicotine hit. For me, cigars are no where near as bad as cigarettes.
A vacation is meant to be a rest – a time to recharge batteries, clear the mind, and really just chill out. I often wonder why then we go on vacation to places like Las Vegas, or to places where there are mad theme parks. These are excitement central places to visit – they get the adrenaline rushing so there’s no way you’re going to get a rest let alone recharge the batteries.
When it comes to vacations, nothing beats an Outer Banks vacation for total relaxation. Big family homes (that don’t cost a fortune), swimming pools, beaches, all designed to let you relax. The only thing you have to worry about is your food – but you can cook your own. Vacations – take one that helps you relax – you’ll be surprised at how good you’ll feel.
