Politics and religion have always been those two hotbed topics that make enemies out of neighbors and friends. Even so, conservative political t-shirts have always had a place in the realm of politics. They polarize people without anyone ever having to say a word because the slogans and images are just that poignant.

Our fathers and grandfathers have worn their fair share of conservative political t-shirts in the past. These shirts have always been very straight-forward and blunt, which is hard for anyone who does not feel the same way to absorb without confrontation. One good example that I’ve seen of this new era of conservative political t-shirts is an image of a common hot-air dryer with President Obama’s campaign symbol over the “on” button. The message on the tee is short an simple: “Press here for a brief message from your President.” This kind of wit and sarcasm is not what we normally see from an older generation.

The tone of the coming election firestorm has been set with the Republican party’s first foray into the realm of political satire. They have taken a page from the book of conservative political t-shirt makers by using content from a very popular t-shirt that tells people they are supporting a fantasy if they support Obama. The tee features mythological creatures. Lo and behold, the latest ad features the same message. This shows what a force these tees can be in the minds of voters.

Rallies have been popping up all across the country in favor of conservatism in politics, and the conservative political t-shirts have not been far behind. These rallies earn lots of air time from news sources, and it seem that the attendees have been in a contest to see who can get the best tee on camera.

There is no doubt that all of this is due to the rising support the commonality are showing for the Tea Party and its members within the Libertarian and Republican parties. These conservative political t-shirts are being created and pushed by the young people who make up the majority of this new movement.

Next year will bring us one of the hardest-fought, aggressive political elections ever seen in America. Battle lines are drawn and swords are drawn. Without a doubt, one of the greatest wars will be fought for the hearts and minds of the undecided. I know for a fact that conservative political t-shirts will be a weapon that Republicans will not fail to use.
