It’s that time of the year again, and with the change of summer comes a change of clothes. The following are some summer fashion tips for men that will ensure you look your best this summer whether you’re chilling on the beach or out for a night on the town.

Cool colors are the thing – T shirts, fashionable tank tops and polo shirts in lightweight, colorful fabrics give a fresh and cool look. White is a necessary part of everyone’s wardrobe and goes with everything, but finding a few colors that enhance your skin tone is also a plus. The solid colors are best for style, however a good way to disguise the summer sweat is to find a pattern that will hide the dark stains. The slogan T’s are best left to the people they suit. How much of your life and personality do you really want to display across your chest?

Nice looking shorts – Here is the number one men’s summer fashion tip that no one seems to pay attention to. The hem of your shorts should ride closer to your knees than your waist. And make sure that your shorts are comfortable to wear and have enough room, as no one else is really interested in knowing what religion you are.

Change-up your belt – Instead of the regular leather belt try the more casual canvas type belt. Doing so will lighten the look of your bottom wear. By wearing lighter jeans or dress pants you can ease along the transition and as a plus you’ll be lowering your perspiration levels.

Purchase a good pair of sunglasses – Aviator glasses are particularly appealing, as they look good on most men. Not only do a good pair of sunglasses add that certain something to your summer look, they protect the sensitive skin around your eyes and may enable you to look years younger than you are by preventing unnecessary sun damage.

Take off your socks – If you are not wearing athletic or dress shoes, take off your socks. There really are no exceptions to this rule. Guys wearing socks with their sandals do not look cool, no matter who they are. (No, not even you.) Your feet will thank you, as well. Keep your feet as clean as possible. (Be realistic; you are wearing sandals after all, a little sand is normal.) Keep your toenails well trimmed. No one really wants to get very close to scraggly toenails and smelly feet. So kick back, kick off your shoes and enjoy your summer looking fresh and cool.
