There are a lot of people who love cooking and some who are still learning to cook. We all know now that we cannot live on takeaways all our life so we need to start cooking sooner than later to have a healthy lifestyle. Many people start cooking when they are moving out of their parents house to goto University or to live on their own, because in most household parents do the cooking. Many read cooking books to understand how to start cooking and it is a good idea to start.

You will be able to purchase bargain books on cooking on the Internet or through your local book shop. There are some websites and second hand books stores which do books for just £1 so you won’t have to worry about spending a lot of money on books. Learning from the book is a great start for people who have no idea on how to cook. Another way of learning to cook would be to watch someone cooking. The techniques they use while cooking will give you an idea of how to start cooking.

Cooking the food might seem easy but the hardest is not the cooking, the hardest part is preparing the food. Every cooking book you read will have a short desription on how to prepare the food before you get to the nitty gritty of cooking. Many people say that preparing the food is what takes a long time while cooking. If you understand the knowledge of preparing the food then cooking food is not going to be hard for you. As I mentioned earlier being a shadow or watching someone cook is a great way of understanding cooking.

Beofre I moved away from home for University I watched my mom cook for few months. I learnt her techniques to prepare the food and to cook the food. Then few weeks before to University I cooked few meals for my family and it wasn’t that bad as I thought it would be. I never liked reading but now because of cook books I also read non fiction books.
