If you are looking to get rid of your old furniture to buy new modern furniture then don’t just throw it away, do something productive with what you already have. Furniture such as bed you can cut it and make wardrobe out of it. Out of the wardrobe you can make Japanese dinning stools for your kitchen. There are several other things you cna do with the furniture you are not using.

People in India and Nepal use their unused furniture to burn in the festival called Shiva Ratri. The festival is celebrated for Lord Shiva. They collect unused woods place it in the middle of the garden, before they burn the woods put some potatoes below it so that it cooks after the woods are all burnt. This festival is certainly fun as I have been a part of it.

Most handy men use unused restaurant furniture and club furniture to rebuilt something small and useful. There are lots of people who make money out of collecting old furniture and recreating new designed furniture from that old furniture. It’s called art and talent in my eyes. Many clubs and restaurant have broken furniture which they want to get rid of, using this to create something unique and new is definitely a talented thing to do.

If you are not that creative then your old furniture such as chairs, stools, tables, wardrobes can definitely go in to the charity. This will certainly be a great donation for the charity. Your stools and chairs can be used in Asia and Africa by children for their studies. If you have a big wardrobe to donate then form that they can creat three to four tables and chairs for a school somewhere in Africa and Asia. By you giving your old furniture away you might help a child improve her or his life.

So don’t just throw the furniture in the bin, think on how it can come in use for others who might be in need of it.
