Jewellery Makes A Great Mother’s Day Present
With Mother’s Day fast approaching it’s time for all us children to think about what our mum’s would like as a little gift.
Sadly for me my mum is longer with us, so personally it’s not something I have to think about, but I have 2 kids of my own and they always splash their cash on a little present for me. I also have to get something for my husband’s mum as he doesn’t have a clue and would probably end up at the last minute getting her a bunch of flowers from the local garage!!
From a personal point of view I’m especially keen on silver rings and have quite a large collection. It doesn’t have to be expensive, just a style that I like. I am just as delighted with a ring from a high street chain as an expensive jewellers because to me it’s not about how much the ring cost, but that they actually thought to get me something.
Funnily enough last year they both gave me silver earrings. For kids they do have pretty good taste in ladies jewellery, so something good must have rubbed off from me.
The same can’t be said for the presents they got for their dad on Father’s Day last year. They both chose men’s jewellery for him, and in all honesty neither piece was something my husband would wear. Never mind, perhaps this year they might get him a set of screwdrivers that would certainly keep him happy. If it was something to do with his precious golf clubs he would be even happier. I have never met anybody so keen on a sport. My other half is out playing golf in all weathers, in fact the only time he doesn’t go out is when it is thunder and lightning and the golf course is shut.
Having said all that, I had better ensure he hasn’t gone and booked any golf on Mother’s Day. The kids may stretch to getting me a present, but hubby is the one who makes sure I get a cooked breakfast, no way would I let the kids loose in the kitchen.
